We have hosted many retreats over the years, and to ensure a smooth experience for our staff, guests, and retreat participants, we’ve outlined a few simple requirements to help everything run seamlessly.
Designed for Intimacy
We believe the most meaningful weddings are those rooted in simplicity and authenticity. That is why Briar Patch Inn is reserved for small celebrations. Whether you are planning an elopement with only a few loved ones, an intimate gathering of under a dozen guests, or a slightly larger circle of close family and friends, our property is designed to hold space for ceremonies that feel warm, personal, and true to your story.
Each event includes two hours in your chosen outdoor setting, allowing you to exchange vows and capture photographs in an environment that is serene and unhurried.
Elopement
- 6 person maximum including wedding party
- $900 grounds fee
- Requires a minimum of 1 cottage rental (two-night minimum).
- Maximum attendance including wedding party – 6 people
- Two-hour maximum use of selected location
- Choice of four settings: Kiva, Creek Side Terrace, Lower Garden, and Ponderosa*
Small Ceremony
- 14 person maximum including wedding party
- $1,800 grounds fee
- Requires a minimum of two cottage rentals (two-night minimum).

Whether you are renewing your vows, eloping with just a handful of loved ones, or inviting a small circle for a private celebration, our property provides the perfect canvas for a ceremony that feels both elevated and deeply personal.
We offer several unique spaces across our grounds. Some are drawn to the Creekside Terrace, where the sound of water creates a tranquil backdrop. Others prefer the Lower Garden, lush and shaded, with a timeless storybook atmosphere. The stone circle of the Kiva carries a rustic charm for smaller gatherings, while the open lawn beside our largest cabin, Ponderosa, offers a versatile canvas with both space and intimacy. Whichever you select, each setting offers its own sense of enchantment.

Wedding Policies
Thank you for considering Briar Patch Inn as the venue for your upcoming wedding. Nestled on nine serene acres in the heart of Oak Creek Canyon, our property offers a naturally inspiring setting for wellness retreats, creative workshops, and intentional gatherings.
Our policies are designed to help ensure a smooth and memorable experience for all.
An Event Hosting Agreement will be carefully crafted with your team and ours once all event details are finalized.
Ponderosa
The Ponderosa cabin is required for all events. With a spacious dining area and living room that seats up to 20, it gives your group a private, all-weather home base for sessions, meals, and quiet breaks—so plans flow rain or shine.
Outside Guests
Day visitors who aren’t staying overnight are welcome with a $30 per person, per day hospitality fee, which includes breakfast, gratuity, and parking. Please share names and dates in advance so we can prepare; day guests check in at the office on arrival.
Payment
To keep planning simple, lodging is billed to the organizer on a single master invoice; we’re not able to accept individual participant payments. A $5 staff gratuity is added daily. Itemized summaries are available on request.
Deposit
A deposit is required for each reserved cabin at booking. The remaining balance is due in full 30 days prior to arrival and is managed by the facilitator. Adjustments and cancellations follow the timelines in your confirmation.
