At Briar Patch Inn, groups can choose from five distinctive venues that blend natural beauty with flexible gathering space.
Ponderosa
At Briar Patch Inn, groups can enjoy the spacious Ponderosa Cabin, which blends natural comfort with flexible indoor gathering space. Sleeps 9 and accommodates up to 49 for meetings or meals, featuring fireplaces, a large deck with red rock views, a full kitchen, and Wi-Fi.
Lower Orchard
Just steps away, the Lower Orchard offers a private outdoor kitchen, grill, and shaded picnic space. Ideal for yoga, meditations, and large group dinners, this open-air venue creates a restorative atmosphere surrounded by nature.
Lodge
The Lodge serves as a welcoming common area and office, perfect for intimate gatherings, receptions, or evening meetings. With seating for up to 30, it provides a warm, flexible space to connect and plan together.
Kiva
The Kiva is an open-air, entertaining gazebo, is well-suited for festive dinners, casual parties, or event staging. Its open layout and natural charm make it a versatile venue for group celebrations.
Creekside Terrace
For those who want to gather by the water, the Creekside Terrace sets the stage for outdoor workshops, classes, BBQs, and creekside meals. With seating for up to 60 and the sound of Oak Creek as your backdrop, it’s an inspiring setting for group activities.

Retreat Policies
Thank you for considering Briar Patch Inn as the host venue for your upcoming retreat or group event. Nestled on nine serene acres in the heart of Oak Creek Canyon, our property offers a naturally inspiring setting for wellness retreats, creative workshops, and intentional gatherings.
Our policies are designed to help ensure a smooth and memorable experience for all.
An Event Hosting Agreement will be carefully crafted with your team and ours once all event details are finalized.
Ponderosa
The Ponderosa cabin is required for all retreats and events. With a spacious dining area and living room that seats up to 20, it gives your group a private, all-weather home base for sessions, meals, and quiet breaks—so plans flow rain or shine.
Outside Guests
Day visitors who aren’t staying overnight are welcome with a $30 per person, per day hospitality fee, which includes breakfast, gratuity, and parking. Please share names and dates in advance so we can prepare; day guests check in at the office on arrival.
Payment
To keep planning simple, lodging is billed to the organizer on a single master invoice; we’re not able to accept individual participant payments. A $5 staff gratuity is added daily. Itemized summaries are available on request.
Deposit
A deposit is required for each reserved cabin at booking. The remaining balance is due in full 30 days prior to arrival and is managed by the facilitator. Adjustments and cancellations follow the timelines in your confirmation.
