My fiancé and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Briar Patch Inn and cannot recommend it enough. We stayed in the Deck House, which was spotless and felt like our own private retreat tucked away in the beauty of Sedona. The property has a calm, secluded atmosphere that instantly melts away any stress. The staff were incredibly attentive without being intrusive — just the right balance. And the breakfast? Delicious doesn't even cover it. If you're looking for a romantic, peaceful escape in Sedona, this is the place. We're already talking about coming back!We had the best time ever!! Polly is the best, amazing decor in the rooms, clean, vibes are high, creek is ideal. Everything was perfect.
I recently led a yoga retreat at Briar Patch Inn. The location was fantastic. We enjoyed the peacefulness of being close to the creek, practicing yoga outside under a canopy of leaves, and listening to the birds. We had a group of 14 people stay in three cabins. The cabins had everything we needed, and Ponderosa provided a large enough gathering space for all of us to spend time together. I recommend Briar Patch for group gatherings.
Absolutely loved the Deck house! Cozy, beautiful, quite, and private. I hope someday I can make it back.
If you are looking for the perfect place to truly unplug, unwind, and reconnect, Briar Patch Inn is pure magic. We stayed in the Kingfisher room creekside, and it was honestly one of the most romantic and peaceful places we have ever experienced. The beds and pillows were unbelievably comfortable — truly the best sleep we’ve had in years. At night, we left the charming Dutch doors open so we could fall asleep to the sound of the rushing creek. We built a fire in the fireplace, listened to the water, and completely escaped from the world. It felt like therapy for the soul. Just a few miles up the road from the hotter temperatures, the cool creekside setting made it feel like a hidden retreat tucked into nature. We even enjoyed breakfast by the creek, which made the experience even more special. The homemade breakfasts were incredible, fresh, and thoughtful every morning. And Polly was an absolute gem — warm, attentive, welcoming, and truly on point with every detail. She made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. This place is special. Romantic, relaxing, cozy, and unforgettable. We are already dreaming about coming back.
Incredibly beautiful venue. The wedding we hosted was incredibly magical. If you are looking for a location that feels outside of Arizona while still in state -- Briarpatch has it. The creekside breakfast was the perfect start each day for the 3 day event!
Wow. This place is serene and peaceful and very calming. We stayed 3 nights here and had a fire in the little fireplace each evening. Breakfast is in the lodge which is very charming and inviting. The nine acres with cabins are next to Oak Creek and the sounds of the creek drown out the sounds from the road and the lush foliage from the well maintained grounds add to the sense of serenity throughout. The cabins are old and the bathroom wasn’t the best, but it was adequate and the whole experience was so outstanding that it more than made up for any shortcomings. I highly recommend this place!
It's lovely to stay at an Inn that is like the old days where you are valued an a human being above all else. Polly, the owner, was literally at my service, answering all questions, she was curious about her guests and was a wealth of information about the Inn itself and the area. We had to arrive late so a map, and flashlight were provided to help us easily navigate to our cabin. The cabins are cozy and a time capsule in themselves. The grounds are meticulously kept, the location a secret within a secret. Sedona is close enough yet far away if you just want to sip coffee by the fire and enjoy a board-game filled afternoon. Thank you, we will be back!
5 stars all around! The location was beautiful, the staff was friendly, the rooms were so clean it looked as if no one had ever set foot there before. I recommend this place to everyone and will be visiting again!
This was the sweetest inn! I stayed in the Owl cabin solo and had such a lovely two nights. The property feels like it’s miles away from Sedona traffic— really peaceful and beautiful. Lighting a fire each night was a treat. I was so charmed by the whole thing and really hope to stay longer next time.
It was peaceful and relaxing; felt like an oasis, surrounded by the beautiful trees and alongside the creek. And the breakfasts were delicious and nutritious.
Amazing experience at the Briar Patch Inn, the moment you step in the property has a calming influence. Complemented with the warm service, it just elevates the stay experience to a different level. We have stayed across multiple hotels/ Inns in various continents during our travels and Briar Patch would definitely feature as one of the top three. Go for it if you want to enjoy the peace, warmth of human connections and connected living with nature. Was our first trip wont be the last!
Absolute dreamy gem in Sedona. Our Blue Jay cabin was perfection. Very comfortable and the setting is so serene and peaceful. The staff was so kind and accommodating every step of the way. I highly recommend booking a massage or reiki, as it is the perfect private setting along Oak Creek. I will definitely be returning the next time I find myself in Sedona!
Great room (Acorn). Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Fireplace is fun and breakfast is great. We will definitely return.
A simply perfect spot to stay when visiting Sedona for any occasion. Stayed here for our anniversary and the attention to care from all staff members was top notch...felt like we went back in time where being present is what matters. Beautiful location, just north of Sedona and in between Flagstaff as well! We'll be coming back until the end of time and bring our families very soon! Thank you for making our stay unforgettable!
If you’re looking for a getaway. Quiet, places to walk, breakfast and 2 o’clock Apple cider with cookies. This is it. Our third time here and again was perfect. They supply enough wood for any fire lover. Friendly staff, beautiful landscaping. The Casa de Piedra is by far our favorite place to stay. Perfect views, secluded. Stress free and relaxing. Thank you to all at Briar Patch.
