An Invitation to Nature in Sedona, Arizona
Nestled in Oak Creek Canyon along the lush banks of Oak Creek, the Briar Patch Inn invites you to nurture your relationship with nature. At the base of the surrounding red rock mountains, the spring fed waters of Oak Creek create a healing, magical oasis—the perfect setting for the Briar Patch—a quiet blending of 9 acres, 19 cottages, majestic canyon oaks, dappled sunlight, squirrels, sheep, and a caring staff.
The little caring touches make the stay even more enjoyable. I needed a place to relax, meditate and rejuvenate and your quaint inn afforded me all.
About our Cabins on Oak Creek
The cottages, furnished with Southwestern charm and Native American decor, are designed for comfort in casual elegance. Fireplaces, patios, and privacy lure you to relax and enjoy the moment or a good book chosen from our ample library. For the ultimate in relaxation, we suggest a massage in the comfort of your own cottage or in our open air, creek side gazebo.
About our Breakfast
Healthy breakfasts of fresh home-baked breads and muffins, crunchy granola, quiche, yogurt, fresh fruits and juices, eggs in the shell, coffee and herbal teas can be enjoyed by the fireplace in the lodge, on a tray in your cottage or, best of all, at the creek side.
Summer at the Briar Patch Inn
In the summer months, Briar Patch Inn hosts Phoenix musicians Maryanne Kremer-Ames and Allen Ames, classical guitarist and violinist, who play at creekside during breakfast. These talented musicians have honored Briar Patch with their presence each year since 1989. Local folks make reservations in advance to be able to join the Briar Patch guests for a summer breakfast with the strains of Bach, Vivaldi and sometimes a little jazz.
About our Afternoons
Each afternoon, enjoy hot mulled cider, a welcome drink in the chill of winter or cool iced tea on a warm summer day, along with home baked cookies, fresh fruit, crackers and cheese. As one guest exclaimed "You know you are in the right place when you walk in the door and are hit by the aroma of hot cinnamoned cider and freshly baked cookies".
